1924: Protests Will Continue on Rum-Ship Seizures

LONDON — The British Government will continue to make protests to Washington in all cases of seizures of suspected rum-runners outside of the three-mile limit until the reciprocal rum treaty is ratified by the two countries, the correspondent of The New York Herald was informed today at the Foreign Office.

It was categorically denied that there is an agreement of any sort between American and British authorities whereby the terms of unsigned treaty have already been made operative.
